Gaining a LongTerm View of Ocean Acidification
Jane Lubchenco, the head of NOAA, called oceanic acidification global warming’s “equally evil twin.” Ocean acidification occurs because carbon dioxide, when dissolved in water, forms a weak acid. Put more CO2 nto the atmosphere, and more will inevitably dissolve into the oceans, lowering their pH. Fed's Latest Report on Climate Change
The government's latest report on climate change entitled, "Global Climate Change Imact in the Untied States" has been released. The report splits the U.S. into nine regions: Southwest, Northwest, Great Plains, Midwest, Southeast, Northeast, Alaska, islands, and coastal regions.
